Ted Prettyman

Ted Prettyman, Director, is best known for his knowledge of Congress and health policy. With his hard-working approach to government affairs, he works with clients to meet their lobbying, strategy, and analytical needs. Ted brings together his experience on the Hill with his time in the lobbying world to provide clients and stakeholders with insight and clearly communicated information.

Most recently, Ted served as coordinator of a lobbying firm’s research and analysis needs for clients. He crafted detailed analysis of political and policy issues in formats easily consumed by both main street and the board room. He also worked on regulatory issues and drafted communications for advocacy, legislative, and regulatory endeavors.

In his time in the Senate, Ted worked for United States Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) in his Washington and Delaware offices. While on Capitol Hill, Ted worked as a Legislative Correspondent, handling matters related to health, including the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, and Medicaid. He also supported the Senator’s work on the Senate Finance Committee and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, where Senator Carper served as the panel’s Chairman. Ted worked as a Constituent Services Representative in the Senator’s Delaware office, advocating to federal agencies on constituents’ behalf.

Ted received a Master of Arts in Political Science from American University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Delaware.
